Our first Elite Performance Camp event of the 2015 Summer Tour was awesome! We had 20 kickers and punters attend with most of them from within a couple hours of Kansas City. Our kickers showed up big time for our field goal competition. Our 2014 College-Prep Showcase field goal champion, Sam Aviles, followed up his December showing with another great field goal charting session. He went, again, a perfect 8-8. Chandler Doss and Jake Roark went 7-8 and Ben Styron, Bryce Stone and Skylar Grissom went an impressive 6-8. Our kickoff competition saw some big numbers. Sam Aviles, Jake Roark and Parker Lacina had the best scores (calculation of hang-times and distances). Matt Thorman, Jake Roark and Gage Romans performed the best in the field in the punting competition. Our end of camp, last man standing competition proved to be exciting and highly competitive. The wind picked up to around 12 mph, so we brought out the big legs and pushed everyone back. Kegan Lammering gave Coach Wolfert a run for his money by hitting a 55 yard FG. Coach Wolfert hit from 55 and then also hit a 56 yarder. Kegan Lammering is our Last Man Standing competition winner. Perhaps he'll get Coach Wolfert next year from beyond 56 yards!

“Over the course of the months and years of working with Jeff and KCKicking, our son has come to the realization that this is something that he thinks he would like to do at the collegiate level. So, Jeff took our family through the process of what it means to be recruited and what are some of the benchmarks that need to be in place to help our son go to that next level.” - Father of a KCKicking student

See what he has to say about KCKicking and why he has chosen us.

"Our son considers him a friend as well as a mentor, and he’s been fantastic for our son's development. Not just teaching him the physical skills, but Jeff has spent a lot of time teaching him some of the challenges that come with the mental aspects of the game." - Mother of a KCKicking Student

See what else she has to say about Jeff Wolfert and KCKicking.

"It’s very important to me to get proper training. There’s a lot of coaches out there. Jeff is very fundamentally and mechanically sound in his teaching, and that’s what I was looking for in a coach." - Father of a KCKicking Student

jackson terry coach wolfertJanuary, February and March are the busiest months of the year for high school seniors to be recruited to College football programs. Signing day is the first Wednesday of February, and shortly before the signing day and the first few weeks afterwards, schools are turning their attention from the position players to the kicking specialists. Jackson Terry, a junior at Rockhurst high school in Kansas City, Missouri, did not have to wait until his senior year to hear from interested schools. Auburn, Kentucky, Minnesota, Penn State and Cornell have all contacted Jackson in hopes of recruiting him to their football program.

I started working with Jackson at the beginning of 2014. He started off as raw kicker who had a lot of muscular strength. His frame did not show he was big and strong, and his field goals and kickoffs didn't necessarily prove he had superior strength, either. But when I heard about his production in the weight room, I knew he could be groomed into a great kicking specialist. Take a look at some of his weight room numbers.

  • Bench press - 325 lbs
  • Back squat - 405 lbs
  • Power clean - 275 lbs
  • Verticle - 36"
  • 40-yard dash - 4.59 s

jackson terry kckicking showcaseOver the past 14 months, Jackson entered into a comprehensive training program w/ KCKicking. He's utilized our private instruction, group instruction, classroom video review sessions and Winter 2014 College-Prep Showcase. His primary focus was kicking, however, after putting him through a few punting drills, it was clear Jackson had a natural talent for punting. We've advanced his skills, and he performed very well at our Winter College-Prep Showcase. Currently, in the class of 2016, he's our 2nd ranked punter and 4th ranked kicker. So far, Jackson has been told by the schools that they are recruiting him primarily as a punter. We won't be surprised if he lands his first scholarship offer by late Spring/early Summer. Jackson plans on attending a few of the school's spring games as well as attend their school's kicking camp in the beginning of the summer (if he hasn't received an offer yet).

Summary:

Every year, KCKicking hosts one College-Prep Showcase. This showcase is an opportunity for specialists to display their abilities in a highly competitive environment, while receiving a rating, as well as a ranking amongst other prospective kickers/punters/snappers in their graduating class. Our ratings and rankings for each recruiting class can be seen on the Prospect Rankings tab of our website.

Over 130 kickers and punters made their way to St. Joseph, Missouri for the always increasingly popular, talent packed, College-Prep Showcase. Seniors came in to prove they have the ability and talent to take their football careers to the collegiate level. Underclassmen arrived with the aspiration of flying into the recruiting scene and creating a buzz around their name. We captured some awesome film and our event results proved the talent was amazing. Please view the event results below as well as check our rankings pages to see individual video performances at the event.
