Prospect Rankings

KCKicking’s evaluation of a prospect is reflected in two ways: rankings and ratings. Previously, the only way to improve your ranking and rating with KCKicking was to attend a College-Prep Showcase; however, due to increased demand, we now provide additional opportunities to increase individual standings. Rankings and ratings are both updated three times per year, after the College-Prep Showcase and Elite Performance Camps (January, June and August).

KCKicking uses this star rating scale to assess a prospect's current level of play.

 Cole Moos
6'0"
180
Cole is a combo specialist who excels at punting slightly more than kicking. He is among our top punters in his class. He recently won the punting Competition at the Winter 2013 College-Prep Showcase. He consisently punts the ball with decent hang-times and excellent distance. When he gets ahold of the ball, it flies! Cole should find that he is getting recruiting interest from all divisions of College football.

 Justin Marcha
6'0"
185
Justin is a well-rounded athlete and has possibly the quickest leg in his class. He is also considered one of our top combo (kicker/punter) prospects. He continues to improve each time we see him. He is smart, is focused, and has the drive and determination to realize his dreams. He has big time D-1A kickoff distance & hits a solid FG off of the ground with range up to 60 yards. Definite D-1 SCHOLARSHIP prospect! (Update 6/21/14) Justin will be able to contribute immediately at Emporia State. Excited to see Justin reach his full potential and compete at a high level.
OKEmporia State
3
 Trenton Long
5'10"
185
Trenton is a solid kicker that can also punt. He has a lot of strength and has a smooth, consistent, repeatable swing. At the 2013 Winter College-Prep Showcase, he showed extremely well during the instructional portion. He gets excellent trajectory and ball rotation on his kicks. He has the ability to hit crushing kickoffs but needs to fine-tune his steps to become more consistent. Trenton will continue to improve and is a very promising prospect for highly competitive football programs.
NEColorado School of Mines
4
 Joe Stevens
5'8"
185
Joe is a very solid punter which also can handle place-kicking duties. He does a good job at swinging his leg up and thru the ball on punts. He is quick and explosive, which allows him to have great "best" balls and decent mis-hits. He is an excellent combo prospect and should help out at whichever collegiate football program he ends up at.

5
 Dakota Cooper
6'0"
165
Dakota is one of the top punters in his class. He demonstrates excellent power and extension in his follow-through. His fundamentals are sound and his technique is repeatable. We'd like to see him lower his drop a little bit and improve the mold, but Dakota may be the most game-ready punter we have! He will come in and compete immediately at any collegiate level.
KSFort Hays State
6
 Isaiah Graves
6'1"
200
Isaiah was a very talented kicker coming out of high school. He is one of the purest field goal kickers in his class and has a consistent ball flight. Isaiah has great size for a kicker. He has a very fluid kicking motion and is a competitor.

 Nicholas Wohlgemuth
6'3"

*Transfer* Nicholas has the size and strength of a division 1 prospect. He attacks the ball and has good rthym in his approach. With some work on his fundamentals, Nicholas will become more consistent and will be able to turn more balls over (spiral). Nicholas demonstrates the drive and determination to take his game to the next level. He is focused and hungry to compete for a starting position immediately.

 Andrew Lesnick

Andrew makes good ball contact on both field goals and kickoffs. He is aggressive and attacks the ball, and loves to compete. Andrew will be able to contribute immediately at Northwest Oklahoma State as a dual threat player.

 Bailey Landwehr
5'10"
165
Bailey performed well at both the 2012 & 2013 College-Prep Showcases. At the 2013 event, he was crowned the Punt Champion. He's recently trained kicking FGs from the ground. Improvement on his trajectory will come with time. He also made the FG finals in the 2013 Showcase event. Time and time again he's shown us the ability to perform in high pressure situations. Bailey has great focus and determinaiton. He'll need to improve his hang-times and distance on kickoffs to be ranked amongst the top in his class. Look for Bailey to gain a lot of College interest over the next year.

 Gage Smith
5'9"
175
Gage has the ability to get excellent trajectory and ball rotation on his kicks. His approach is a little long, and this creates some inconsistencies. He has the potential to be one of the better kickers in his class. His KOs have excellent distance but he needs to continue to work on his hang-time. His punts are a lot like his KOs - they have a lot of power but with some improvement on mechanics, he will be able to reach his potential. This prospect is very promising!!!
NEChadron State
11
 Aaron Twarog
6'0"
218
Aaron has excellent size and strength. He can hit the ball as far (and high) as anyone in his class. At the 2013 Kansas City Instructional Camp, Aaron won both the kickoff competition and field goal charting competition. Aaron thrives on pressure and can step up to the plate. He could turn into a very promising combo prospect if he refines his mechanics and technique for punting. He will get a lot of College interest over the next year strictly because of his leg strength!

 Morgan Davis
6'4"
215
Morgan is a solid field goal kicker with a strong leg. He has an excellent build and size. Is a combo prospect. On FGs, shows he can hit the same ball a good percentage of the time. Need's to work on swinging up on his follow-through to generate more power and higher trajectory. Morgan's kickoff's are decent but have a room for improvement. Lots of upside potential. We are excited to see where Morgan will continue his football career!

 Zach Plymesser
6'1"
180
Zach has demonstrated that he has a lot of natural ability. His strengths are his flexibility, extension and a consistent ball mold/drop. He showed us that he is capable of hitting a spiraling, nose-over punt. Increasing his consistency and power will help him move up from a 4-star prospect. We have worked with Zach on multiple occasions and have noticed improvement every time we see him.

 Gareth Mood
6'0"
175
Gareth is tall with a good build to him. Hits a nice field goal with solid end over end rotation. Generates excellent trajectory on his field goals and is a pure ball striker. Gareth hits one of the better kickoffs in his class. He uses his leg length as leverage to explode through the ball. We are excited to see how this strong kicker improves this off-season and competes for a starting position at a collegiate level program.

 Matt Waitt
N/A
N/A
Matt is primarily a punter and can do placekicking duties in a back-up role. He has demonstrated a consistent mold and drop. He has good hand skills and is comfortable under the pressure of a live snap. As he continues to develop his strength and flexibility, look for Matt to improve and gain some colleges attention. Because Matt is a left-footed punter, he could cause some additional pressure to punt returners because of the unusal ball rotation he generates.

 Ryan Lindahl
5'10"
145
Ryan is a legitimate dual-threat specialist. He has solid mechanics in both kicking and punting. He finished in the top 10 during the kickoff competition at the Winter 2013 College-Prep Showcase. He shows flashes of stellar ball-striking ability. Has a fluid swinging motion with decent repeatability. We'd like to see his field goal swing finish a little higher. Ryan will help out a College football program for years to come.

 JT Breyman
5'10"

JT has quick and explosive approach and swing. His drop is a little inconsistent as he utilizes a two hand drop technique. With continued work on his fundamentals, JT could maximize his punting abilities. JT is built like a true punter.

 Walker Janicke
6'2"
185
Walker is a big-legged punter. He has the fundamentals down, but his execution is lacking from time to time. He could improve his footwork and overall athleticism in order to maximize his potential. His approach could speed up, and in turn this may help his overall leg speed and explosiveness through his follow-thru. Walker will move quickly up the rankings once he starts attacking the ball a little more aggressively. Lots of potential!

 Justin Fitzgerald
6'1"

Justin has a great build and fluid leg swing motion. He gets exceptional trajectory on his kicks. He gets ample distance with his punts, but he needs to continue to focus on getting the proper hang-time. This will come with practice, time and diligent work on his mechanics. Also, with continued work on his overall athletic ability, Justin will sore up the rankings!

 Austin Dodd
6'4"
190
Austin has the build and frame to further develop into an elite level kicker. He makes outstanding ball contact and is able to produce pure ball rotation, excellent trajectory and long flying balls. Kicking appears to come very natural to Austin. At the 2013 Winter College-Prep Showcase, he beat every participant classes 2014 and younger during the Kickoff Competition. At this time, his kicking skills are more refined than his punting skills. Austin should receive a lot of recruiting interest!

 Dillon Burkhard
5'9"
145
Dillon has made some huge improvements over the last year. He has a good, athletic build and decent flexibility and strength. He is our smoothest FG kicker in his class, hands down. Dillon as already made the transition to hitting the ball directly off of the turf, and this will benefit him for years to come. Expect Dillon to continue to improve, adding a little more distance on his kicks and getting better hang/distance on his KOs and he will realistically be a D1 prospect!

Collin has good size and technique. At times, he can be inconsistent with his ball-striking. As long as Collin keeps working on his consistency (leg swing, foot position, follow-thru) he'll see immediate improvement.

 Jack Haltom
6'0"
170
Jack has the drive and determination of a great competitor. The ball "pops" off of his foot when he makes solid contact. He is naturally explosive and has a fluid, repeatable swing. Currently, his production on kickoffs don't match his ability. For both FGs and KOs, he'll need to improve the quality of his ball-striking. Jack will be a valuable asset for a mid-level College football program.

 Dakota Lebofsky
6'2"
172
Dakota has a true passion for kicking. He continues to challenge himself every single day on the field and has made tremendous strides in his kicking game. He's recently shown that he can hit solid FG’s off of the ground from 50+ yards. At the Winter 2013 College-Prep Showcase, he made the FG finals (out of 80 athletes). His kickoffs have improved dramatically and is capable of hitting one of the best kickoffs in his class. He needs to improve his consistency just a bit to ensure solid ball-contact each and every kick. Dakota has HUGE upside potential and will push for a starting position his first year in a College football program.

 Raul Garcia
5'7"
155
Raul has fluid kicking motion. He also has a fast leg for his size. He sometimes struggles to repeat his approach and swing the same each and every kick. With some formal instruction, Raul could make some strides with some small alterations to his mechanics and technique. His kicking skills are currently higher than his punting skills.

 Javier Pacheco
5'8"

We worked with Javier for the first time at the Spring 2013 College-Prep Showcase. He impressed the entire coaching staff. His ability to make solid ball contact is phenomonal. He competes at a very high level and does not get flustered. Has a very natural leg swing and can create a tremendous amount of power. Simply one of our most talented kickers. If Javier can transition to kicking off the ground effectively, keep your eyes on this prospect!!!

175
Ryan has the drive and determination to keep growing as a punter. He has excellent flexibility and extension during the follow-through. He has shown improvement every time we have worked with him. He's starting to turn more and more punts over (spirals). With the passion Ryan displays for punting, there appears to only be bright things in the future for this prospect!

 Tanner Wineland
6'0"
174
Tanner has good size and can generate some good leg speed. If he refines his mechanics and technique, he'll see results very fast as he has excellent power. He needs to improve on ball striking consistency in order to produce a true flying and rotating kick. Tanner's punting ability is above his kicking ability right now. Look for Tanner to really work hard this off-season and see positive results his senior year of high school football.

 Drue Coffman
5'11"
162
Drue competed at the Dec. 2012 College-Prep Showcase. He showed flashes of excellent ball contact, fluid leg swing and proper mechanics, but lacked the consistency to do it every kick. For Drew to maximize his potential, he'll need to make some small adjustments to his technique and develop a practice strategy to be able to make it repeatable. He does not use a traditional style to punt the football, so it's possible he would do well in a roll-out or rugby style punting scheme. He attacks the ball!

Caleb has good mechanics and excellent technique. He'll continue to develop as an overall athlete and could become a better ball striker. He needs quicker leg speed in order to get the height and distance that is needed for longer kicks. Participated in the Dec. 2012 College-Prep Showcase.

Tanner is built like a collegiate kicker by having excellent size and superior strength. His swing is repeatable and fluid. He has made tremendous improvement on his ball striking ability over the past year. He competed extremely well at the Winter 2013 College-Prep Showcase. He went a combined 13-16 during both FG charting sessions and ended up tied for 2nd (out of 90 participants). Tanner will make a great fit at a D1 football program and is capable of contributing early on. Contact this prospect now!

Daniel is an excellent competitor and refined kicker. His swing is very repeatable. He won the 2013 Wichita Instructional camp charting session by hitting 8/8 FGs backing up to 50 yards. Daniel will be an asset for whichever College program he ends up with. His ability to perform under pressure is impressive. We expect big things out of Daniel during his senior season and should garnish some Division 1 interest!
