Tanner is a good sized kicker and punter. He uses his size well and is able to generate good power behind his kicks. He showed he is a very effective field goal kicker by finishing the preliminary field goal round at the 2016 College-Prep Showcase in 2nd place (out of 90+ kickers). He drives his kickoffs well and can get them to the goal line from the 35 yard line. Overall athletic improvement would propel Tanner into become an elite level kicker as well as improve his hang time on kickoffs and punts. He is effective with his current field goal steps, but will need to shorten his approach to be manageable at College football tempo. Very promising prospect.
